Q: What is the process for the VENUS "At-Home" Teeth Whitening?
A: In a matter of about five minutes, upper and lower impressions of your teeth will be made. In our lab, we will make cast models from these impressions. A special vacuum machine is used to melt and form a flexible plastic over the model resulting in a custom tray. Within a day, sometimes hours, you may return to the office to pick up your custom-made trays and the whitening kit with detailed instructions.
Q: What makes professional teeth whitening better than over the counter teeth whitening products? Is it safe?
A: Professional bleaching solutions contain peroxides, which actually bleach the tooth enamel. The product that we use, VENUS, is formulated with a neutral pH —it not only whitens your teeth, it also helps protect against adverse sensitivity and is safe on your teeth and gums. This product can only be administered under the supervision of a dentist.
